Stila Jewel Eyeshadow in Black Diamond

I've been looking at this eyeshadow for a while now, and today I caved. I barely ever use black on my eyes other than eyeliner, but this is my exception. I love that it is a extremely glittery eyeshadow with a pink and green duo chrome, it gives the eye a 'wet' effect. Unfortunately the pictures don't do Black Diamond justice, you can't see the duo chrome.
After I got home, I played with it and came up with this look. Hope you enjoy! There will be a review soon, but for a first impression, I love it, minus the obvious, insane amount of fallout.

I used Stila Jewel Eyeshadow in Black Diamond with Urban Decay Half Baked in the inner corner.

What I Wore #1

Hi Everyone! Hope your day has been going well. I'm going to start doing 'What I Wore' posts, I find them  to be an easier and quicker way to post when I don't have a lot of time. Today I went to work, so exciting! I hope you didn't drown in my sarcasm. I do love my job, but I have to wear all black 5/7 days of the week, it's kind of depressing. Getting ready is usually what gets me out of bed, so I'm going to share what products I used this morning.

  • Make-Up Forever High Definition Foundation - 110 ($40)
  • Smashbox Photo Set Pressed Powder - Fair ($29)
  • Stila Eyeshadow Trio - Champagne Glow ($29)
  • Clinique High Impact Mascara ($15)
  • Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - Boy ($39)
Make-Up Forever High Definition Foundation - $40

This is defiantly worth the money it looks continually flawless throughout the day, and doesn't budge! The picture above was taken after about 13 hours of wear, the only touch ups have been a bit of powder! Pretty impressive I thought. The only thing I would have to complain about is that it doesn't have any oil control, or if it does its extremely minimal. By the end of the day my T-zone gets quite shiny, so it does need those quick powder fixes throughout the day.

Smashbox Photo Set Pressed Powder - $29

I haven't used this product too much to give an accurate review. I will say that I am not overly impressed by the powder, so it may never get a full review because I don't think I'll reach for it enough.

Stila Eyeshadow Trio - Champagne Glow - $29

I defiantly love Stila eyeshadows, I think that they are one of the most pigmented and soft eyeshadows that I've tried. I'd have to say that this trio falls a little short in my books. The reason isn't extremely significant but a tad annoying. The eyeshadow, which is in a pan spins in the packaging and can fall out because the glue that holds them together isn't good. When the Stila representative came to our store she said that it's because they are baked in Italian ovens and the glue sometimes becomes unglued. I don't really buy it, but it is each to their own.

Clinique High Impact Mascara - $15

I rarely buy the same mascara twice, but with this one, I think I'm going to miss it enough to purchase another tube (I'll have to drive 2 hours to purchase it, but I will). When I think of the perfect volumizing mascara I think of this one, it coats and separates each lash beautifully without there being that awful clumsiness at the tip of the lash. I would really recomend this one a try!

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - Boy - $39

Ah, Chanel, so luxurious and so hard to get. Hard to get it you live far from any major city that would carry it. I went to Vancouver for a business trip in January and I couldn't go leave without purchasing some Chanel. I don't own a lot, three pieces to be exact, and I love them all. I haven't compared the Coco Shines to other lipsticks that Chanel has, but these make me want to try them all. The Coco Shines are extremely moisturizing with quite a bit of pigment in them. They stay on the lips for probably 4 hours, but you can't expect much with the type of texture that these are. Next trip to a larger city, I'll be headed right for these bad boys.
